Many Los Angelenos are looking for ways to make a difference in their communities on the issues they care about most: homelessness, roads and streets, economic development and criminal activity.
Neighborhood Council participants are empowered to advocate directly for real change in their communities. Neighborhood Councils are city-certified local groups made up of people who live, work, own property or have some other connection to a neighborhood. Neighborhood Council Board Members are elected or selected to their positions by the neighborhoods themselves.
Mission
The mission of the HSDNC is to promote public participation in local government in order to respond to the needs of our community. To learn more about Neighborhood Councils throughout the City of Los Angeles, please visit the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment website.
Regular Meeting Schedule
We meet regularly on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6pm at Lemon Grove Park. All our meetings are open to the public. Please check our calendar to confirm when our next meeting is.
